Wild Makers

Seasonal making for little hands.

Wild Makers is a caregiver-and-child workshop that celebrates the changing seasons through hands-on making, traditional skills, and creative exploration. Together, families gather to create, cook, craft, and discover the joy of making something with their own hands.

Inspired by the rhythms of nature, each gathering offers opportunities to slow down, learn a new skill, and experience the satisfaction of creating together.

Seasonal Invitations (15–20 minutes)

As families arrive, they'll find open-ended invitations inspired by the season - simple opportunities to explore natural materials, observe, create, and settle into the space before we gather.

Make Together (45–50 minutes)

Each month we'll explore a seasonal project rooted in traditional skills, whether that's cooking, crafting, preserving, weaving, gardening, or another hands-on experience. Caregivers and children work side by side, learning together and enjoying the process from beginning to end.

Gather & Share (15–20 minutes)

We'll wrap up by sharing what we've made, reflecting on the season, and sending families home with ideas and inspiration to continue the experience together.

Getting ready for Wild Makers

Wild Makers is designed for caregivers and children ages 4–7 to participate together. This is not a drop-off program - grown-ups are an important part of the experience. Whether you're measuring ingredients, weaving a potholder, or exploring a new skill together, the goal is to slow down and enjoy the process side by side.

No previous crafting or cooking experience is needed, just a willingness to learn, create, and have fun together.

Learn a new skill, and create something together.
